So I haven’t touched this site in a bit an I apologize to my readers… I wonder if I had any… but I am sorry. I’ve been up and down with games and on and off with them as well. Recently I’ve been caught up in the Destiny game for PS4 and will update you guys about that game and how its progress. Some of it is good and the rest is possibly bad but over all the game has been pretty decent for the most part. Other games I will touch up on are World of Warcraft and Dying Light along with Evolve.
I’ve been playing Destiny for some time now on the PS4. The game really does have its ups and downs when it comes down to it. I left Destiny off with a 3 out of 5 if I remember correctly. What really brought it down was how they played out the story. You would sit there and play the game and honestly wonder what the heck was going on? Apparently the story is in the grimoire cards on the bungie site. Which in my opinion is cool but at the same time very inconvenient. I honestly don’t see myself going to go through this for the game in all honesty and some others feel the same. Others feel that the game gets to the point with the game and separated the story for a reason so some who didn’t wish to go through it wouldn’t have to? Which made no sense because you still had terrible cut scenes… The game itself is still on the good side for me for a few reasons. I got a great group of friends to tag along with on this game to get things done and actually see raids go well ( FINALLY ) Last time around the groups I got together were just down right terrible. Not many people could follow instructions well and in all honesty bring in people who were below the actual minimum really hurt the whole process. Instead of making the game challenging it made it down right impossible.
The game is still the same song on repeat for every little thing. Here is why I stopped judging the game based on that. I love world of warcraft and some people here might love it just as much. If you ever really looked at what you did for world of warcraft or any other rpgs… You would find your self in the same shoes as Destiny. Even games that don’t have RPGS elements like some actions games, people treat em like a song on repeat. I want to get all the trophies so I will play the game a few more times all the way through… is the mentality of some people. In WOW I found myself doing the same things over and over with dailies and weeklies but the problem was that I was on my own doing these things. The group of friends I had would not be on WOW for what ever reasons they had. So the game got obscenely boring…very quick. In Destiny on PS4 it was the complete opposite. Don’t get me wrong I was doing weeklies and dailies… But this time I had good friends to play with this time. So instead of a grind it became fun. It was great and for PVP… I actually could kick some butt… >_> So destiny is basically my main game for the time being and hopefully I will keep my readers updated on that and other games that come along. I got a few that I really need to get to in my collection…
Dying Light. This game is crazy… This game is intense! This game is…wait a minute why does this game feel exactly like Dead Island -_-……
Take a look at this image and tell me you don’t feel like your back on that cursed island. Apparently word of mouth is that this game is basically Dead Island re done. Dead Island was the game that the devs did not want and for some reason it happened. This is the end product that they wanted for Dead Island. Dying Light. In all honesty the game is pretty decent so far. Everything is almost the same when it comes to the crazy random weapons you can put together to scavenging randomness and also getting to wack a few zombies around over the head. I’ve yet to play alot of it but it really plays like Dead Island. The only real difference if I recall correctly is that in Dead Island, you can’t jump and move the way you do in Dying Light. I will keep everyone updated more on the game as I go through it though. So far so good…
Evolve. This game so far started off very questionable. If you are sitting there wondering if you should buy this game…let me ask you a couple of questions. Do you have 60 dollars to blow off? Go for it. Do you have friends who will buy the game around the same time you do to play with you around the same time… definitely buy this game. If you answered no to any of these questions… Don’t buy it in all honestly. Its a great game and concept but its friend dependent for those who are a bit anti social. Reason I say this is because the game solo is pretty weak. If you are the monster it might be fun for the time being but those things on repeat get tiring. As a hunter with friends its actually more entertaining when it comes to actually hunting down the monster. Depending on the monster skill set who is actually controlled by an actual player, it can go from a total ownage on the monster or you might get stalked and hunted down and not even know what happened… So the game basically leans both ways and its hard decision to make if its a good game to go all out on. So far its been great imo. Almost wish they had a single player mode to give some more story into the randomness.
I will have more on these games and other games in the coming weeks. Right now I will try to get some hours in with Dying Light and see how that all plays out and as for Evolve I will upload a video of a match up I had that lasted 3 minutes and change which was totally epic for the hunters. Stay tune for more later on 🙂 and share this with friends who love reading randomness…
